We know that most people celebrating their Christmas with family united, decorating houses with Christmas trees, lights etc, give gifts to children, have delicious food together etc. You may curious how Chinese Celebrating their Christmas?

There are very few Christians in China and it is not a traditional Chinese Festival, so Christmas is celebrated mainly by youngsters and people in cities.

For lovers, it is more like Valentine's Day. They give gifts to each other and have a date at this day.

For business, it is just like another "Double Eleven", have a lot of promotion activities coupons online to increase their sales. Or decorating stores and malls with Christmas trees & lights etc or dress up like Santa and give discount to attract peoples to consume.

In China, there is a custom which is send apples to relatives and friends on Christmas Eve, and this custom seems created by the Chinese. And only Chinese talents do this. Why?

Apple in Chinese is “Ping Guo”. The “Ping” of “Ping Guo” is same as the “Ping” in “Ping An”, which means Peace and Safety, so the Chinese give the auspicious meaning to Apple as "Peace and Safety", that’s why Chinese give apples to each other on Christmas Eve. When Christmas Eve arrives, the "dressed" apple quietly conveys the "peaceful and safe" blessing.

It is said that the fruit merchants dressed up as "safe and peaceful fruit" are inspired by young people. At the beginning, some young people bought one or two imported apples, and pack them in a gift shop and prepared to give gifts to good friends on Christmas Eve. This “business opportunity” was immediately captured by savvy businessmen. Most of the people interested in this new thing are teenagers. They all think that spend 5 to 10 RMB for a gift with a "peaceful and safe" meaning to a friend is worthy. Christmas Eve not only quietly conveys the "peace and safe fruit" in the hands of people, but also conveys beautiful blessing.
