The framing and imaging of the SLR camera is reflected by the mirror and refracted by the pentaprism, so that the framing and imaging are on the same optical path. While for paraxial, the framing is the light path of the framing, and the imaging is the optical path of the imaging. As it does not have a mirror box like a SLR, its size can be made very small. And the lens is close to the negative film, making the design of the wide-angle lens relatively simple. At the same time, because the light paths do not overlap, parallax occurs when shooting at close range. There is a difference between what you see and what you have photographed. The closer the distance, the more obvious it is.
The magnification of the paraxial viewfinder is fixed. Different focal length lenses, which use different wire frames to represent different ranges in the viewfinder. In this way, the telephoto lens is not very convenient to use, so in the Leica camera we see that the longest focal length is 135mm, compared with the 200mm, 400mm focal length of SLR, there are still many defects.
The rangefinder camera, led by Leica, uses the "Rangefinder" focusing method. This has affected many of the later rangefinder cameras to a large extent, such as Zeiss Ikon, Bessa, Canon, Nikon and other Japanese manufacturers of rangefinder cameras, including Chinese Seagull, Red Flag is focused by rangefinder. It passes the yellow spots in the viewfinder to make the images overlap, which means that the focus is on. In the manual focus era, it is a relatively fast and accurate focus method.
Later, it ushered in the era of autofocus. In the big family of the rangefinder camera, a new category, called point-and-shot camera, PS camera in shot. The principle is to use the viewfinder of the rangefinder to view the image, and then use the special focus module to focus.
